1. Who We Are
Wind’s Pasties is a family-owned food business based in Anaconda, Montana. We’ve been making pasties since 1959. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you place an order through our website.
2. Information We Collect
When you place an order or subscribe to a delivery plan, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and phone number — to confirm your order and send delivery notifications
- Your delivery address — to fulfill your order
- Payment information — processed securely by Square. We never see or store your full card number
- Delivery photos — when our driver photographs a completed delivery, that image is stored on our servers
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Process and fulfill your order
- Send you an order confirmation by email
- Notify you when your delivery has been made (by text if you explicitly opt in to SMS at checkout, or by email)
- Manage your subscription, if you have one
- Communicate with you about your order if something comes up
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Payment Processing
All payments are handled by Square (squareup.com). Your card details are transmitted directly to Square’s secure servers and are never stored by Wind’s Pasties. Square’s privacy policy is available at squareup.com/legal/privacy.
5. Text Messages
If you provide a mobile phone number and explicitly check the optional SMS consent checkbox at checkout, you expressly consent to receive transactional SMS/MMS delivery confirmation messages from Wind’s Pasties at the number you provided. These messages confirm that your order has been hand-delivered by our staff and may include a photo of the delivery.
- Message frequency: Approximately 1 message per order.
- Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
- To opt out: Reply STOP at any time. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed.

- Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may complete an order without opting in to SMS; in that case, delivery confirmation will be sent by email when available.
Mobile Information Privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of our services, such as SMS message delivery via our messaging provider Twilio, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

6. Subscriptions
If you sign up for a recurring delivery subscription, your payment method is stored securely by Square and charged automatically on your chosen schedule. You can cancel your subscription at any time by calling us at 406.563.2362 or emailing us at orders@windspasties.com.
7. Delivery Photos
When our staff completes a hand-delivery, they may photograph the delivered order at your address as proof of delivery. These photos serve two purposes: (1) they confirm to you that your order arrived, and (2) they provide a record for us in the rare event of a delivery dispute.
Delivery photos are stored securely on our servers. They are accessible only to Wind’s Pasties staff and, if you have opted in to SMS notifications, may be transmitted to your mobile number as part of your delivery confirmation message via our messaging provider (Twilio). We do not post, publish, or share delivery photos publicly or with any third party for marketing purposes.
Delivery photos are retained for up to 90 days, after which they are deleted unless required for an ongoing customer service matter. You may request earlier deletion of any delivery photo associated with your orders by contacting us at 406.563.2362 or info@windspasties.com.
8. Data Retention
We keep your order information for as long as is reasonably necessary for business and tax purposes, typically no longer than seven years. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us directly, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain certain records.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Request a copy of your data
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information, where we are legally permitted to do so

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Our website uses HTTPS encryption, and payment data is handled entirely by Square’s PCI-compliant infrastructure.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our ordering system after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
